Design a student learning streaks for event organizers that improves collaboration speed

Problem Statement Description

You are designing a student learning streaks experience for event organizers who run learning-focused events such as workshops, bootcamps, study groups, campus programs, or online learning challenges. These organizers need to coordinate with co-hosts, instructors, volunteers, and student ambassadors to keep students engaged before, during, and after events.

Today, information about student participation, attendance, task completion, and follow-up actions may be scattered across spreadsheets, chat threads, learning platforms, registration tools, and manual notes. As a result, organizers can be slow to identify which students are building momentum, which students are at risk of dropping off, and which team member should take the next action.

Design a product experience around student learning streaks that helps event organizers collaborate faster. The focus is not just on showing streak counts, but on enabling organizers to align quickly, prioritize outreach, assign responsibilities, and coordinate interventions without adding unnecessary operational overhead.

The experience should consider:

- The primary users involved in organizing learning events, including lead organizers, instructors, mentors, volunteers, and student coordinators.

- The end-to-end workflow from event setup, student participation tracking, streak visibility, team coordination, and post-event follow-up.

- What “learning streak” should mean in this context, such as attendance, lesson completion, check-ins, submissions, participation, or other learning actions.

- Collaboration friction points, including unclear ownership, delayed updates, duplicate outreach, fragmented communication, and lack of shared context.

- How organizers discover which students need attention and how they decide what action to take next.

- Permissions, privacy, and sensitivity around student learning data, especially when multiple organizers or volunteers are involved.

- Accessibility and inclusivity considerations so streaks motivate students without unfairly penalizing different schedules, time zones, or learning circumstances.

- Success indicators that show whether the experience is improving collaboration speed and student engagement outcomes.

Your goal is to frame the user problem, identify the most important organizer workflows, and design a product experience that uses student learning streaks to help event teams coordinate faster and act with better context.
