Microsoft is preparing for a major Office 365 launch targeted at small and medium-sized businesses. The interview task is to estimate the infrastructure and operational load required to support the launch, including customer adoption, usage volume, service capacity, support demand, and launch-readiness needs.

You should frame the estimate from the perspective of a product leader planning for a high-visibility cloud productivity release. The launch may affect core Office 365 experiences such as email, file storage, collaboration, video meetings, admin setup, identity, billing, and customer support. The focus is not on exact numbers, but on building a clear, defensible sizing model.

Your estimate should account for SMB-specific behavior: company size variation, IT maturity, migration complexity, peak onboarding periods, regional rollout patterns, and expected usage of competing or adjacent tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS products.

The experience should consider:

- The scope of the launch: geography, customer segment, product modules, and whether it is a new feature, bundle, pricing plan, or full platform launch.

- The unit of estimation: tenants, paid seats, active users, storage consumed, emails sent, meetings hosted, support tickets, or infrastructure capacity.

The goal is to produce a structured guesstimate that a Microsoft product team could use to reason about launch readiness, capacity planning, operational staffing, and key risks before committing to a major Office 365 release for SMB customers.
