Design a driver earnings dashboard for regional managers that improves seller liquidity

Problem Statement Description

You are designing a driver earnings dashboard for regional managers in a large marketplace business such as ride-hailing, delivery, or local logistics. These managers are responsible for monitoring driver supply health across cities or zones, identifying earnings-related issues, and coordinating actions with operations, incentives, payments, support, and marketplace teams. The business outcome is to improve seller liquidity: drivers should have enough predictable, accessible, and timely earnings to stay active, accept work, and trust the platform.

Today, regional managers may rely on fragmented reports, delayed finance data, anecdotal driver complaints, and manual spreadsheets to understand whether drivers are earning enough, getting paid on time, or facing cash-flow friction. They need to distinguish between temporary demand softness, pricing or incentive issues, payout delays, high cancellations, fuel or cost pressure, and localized operational problems. The dashboard should help them move from reactive escalation to proactive diagnosis and decision-making.

Design the product experience for these regional managers, not a driver-facing wallet or a finance reconciliation tool. You should define what information the dashboard surfaces, how managers navigate from regional overview to specific cohorts or zones, how it supports action and accountability, and how it balances operational speed with accuracy, fairness, and trust.

The experience should consider:

- Regional manager workflows, including daily monitoring, weekly business reviews, incident response, and cross-functional escalation.

- Key driver earnings and liquidity pain points, such as payout timing, earnings volatility, incentive visibility, deductions, arrears, or minimum viable earnings thresholds.

- Segmentation by geography, driver cohort, tenure, vehicle type, work pattern, platform dependency, and marketplace condition.

- How the dashboard distinguishes symptoms from root causes without overwhelming users with raw data.

- What actions regional managers can take or trigger after identifying a liquidity issue.

- Data freshness, accuracy, reconciliation needs, and trust in financial or operational metrics.

- Alerting, prioritization, permissions, auditability, and responsible use of sensitive earnings data.

- Accessibility and usability for managers operating at scale across many markets.

The goal is to define a dashboard experience that enables regional managers to understand driver earning health, detect liquidity risks early, and coordinate effective interventions that improve marketplace supply stability and driver trust.
