Design a seller performance hub for mobile-first users that improves recovery rate

Problem Statement Description

You are designing a seller performance hub for a marketplace or commerce platform where many sellers primarily operate from a mobile device. These sellers may manage listings, orders, fulfillment, customer messages, policy compliance, ads, and account health while on the go, often with limited time, uneven digital fluency, and high sensitivity to income disruption.

The business wants to improve recovery rate: the percentage of sellers who successfully return to a healthy or acceptable performance state after receiving a warning, restriction, quality drop, missed service-level target, or other performance issue. The current experience may be fragmented across notifications, dashboards, policy pages, support tickets, and analytics reports, making it hard for sellers to understand what went wrong, what matters most, and what action to take next.

Your task is to define the mobile-first product experience for this seller performance hub. Focus on the seller workflow, moments of confusion or urgency, prioritization of actions, trust in platform guidance, and how the experience helps sellers recover without overwhelming them or creating perverse incentives.

The experience should consider:

- The primary seller segments, such as new sellers, high-volume sellers, side-hustle sellers, and sellers under account risk.

- The end-to-end recovery journey: detection, notification, diagnosis, recommended action, execution, progress tracking, and confirmation of recovery.

- Mobile-first constraints, including small screens, intermittent attention, limited data entry, notifications, offline or low-bandwidth use, and accessibility.

- How sellers understand performance signals, thresholds, deadlines, penalties, and the relative urgency of different issues.

- How the hub should balance education, diagnostics, actionability, automation, escalation to support, and seller accountability.

- How to build seller trust when recommendations may affect revenue, account standing, fulfillment behavior, or customer promises.

- Edge cases such as false positives, policy disputes, repeated violations, language barriers, and sellers managing multiple stores or staff members.

- Success indicators beyond recovery rate, including seller satisfaction, time to recovery, repeat issue rate, support contact rate, customer experience, and marketplace integrity.

The goal is to design a clear, actionable, and trustworthy mobile experience that helps sellers identify performance problems, take the right corrective actions, and regain healthy standing while supporting platform quality and customer trust.
