Product context: Tesla is an electric vehicle, energy, and software company; its products include EVs, charging, vehicle software, Autopilot/FSD features, energy storage, and solar products.

Tesla wants to understand the infrastructure and operational capacity required to support its Service experience for commuter customers who rely on their vehicles for daily travel. Your task is to estimate the capacity Tesla would need in a defined market and time period, such as a city, metro area, or country over one year.

Focus on the practical service workflow: vehicles on the road, service incidents or maintenance needs, appointment demand, mobile service coverage, service-center throughput, technician capacity, parts availability, and customer downtime. You are not expected to know Tesla’s internal data. State reasonable assumptions, build a structured estimate, and show how changes in adoption, vehicle age, service frequency, or operating hours would affect the capacity needed.

The estimate should consider:

- The scope of the estimate: geography, time horizon, and which Tesla Service functions are included or excluded.

- The target population: number of commuter Tesla vehicles or customers in the chosen market.

- Expected service frequency by vehicle type, age, usage intensity, and common commuter needs.

- Demand units such as service requests, appointments, repair hours, technician hours, bays, mobile service vans, or parts volume.

- Operational assumptions including working days, hours per shift, utilization, appointment duration, and no-show or repeat-visit rates.

- Capacity split between mobile service, physical service centers, roadside support, and escalated repairs.

- Sensitivity checks for high-growth EV adoption, seasonal demand, recalls, software-related issues, or supply constraints.

- Sanity checks against customer wait times, technician productivity, facility utilization, and service reliability expectations.

The goal is to demonstrate a clear, defensible estimation approach that helps Tesla decide how much Service capacity is needed to keep commuter customers supported without overbuilding costly infrastructure.
