Problem Statement Description
Product context: Microsoft is a productivity, software, AI, gaming, and cloud company; its products include Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, LinkedIn, Xbox, Azure, Dynamics, and Copilot.
Recruiting teams in large organizations often use Microsoft Power Platform to create lightweight apps, dashboards, and automations that support hiring workflows: candidate intake, interview scheduling, feedback collection, offer approvals, referral tracking, and handoffs between recruiters, hiring managers, interviewers, and HR systems. Because these workflows involve sensitive candidate data and high-stakes decisions, recruiters need to trust that the tools they build or use are accurate, secure, compliant, and appropriate for enterprise hiring processes.
Design a trust-focused improvement for Power Platform specifically for recruiters. The improvement should fit into the day-to-day workflow of non-technical or semi-technical recruiting users who may build or operate low-code solutions while relying on IT, HR operations, legal, and security teams for governance. Focus on the product experience and user friction rather than proposing a broad policy-only solution.
The experience should consider:
- How recruiters discover, build, approve, or use Power Platform apps and automations in hiring workflows
- Where trust breaks down today, such as data accuracy, permissioning, compliance, automation mistakes, candidate privacy, or unclear ownership
- The different users involved, including recruiters, hiring managers, interviewers, HR operations, IT admins, and candidates
- How the experience handles sensitive recruiting data, access controls, auditability, and enterprise compliance expectations
- How a low-code user understands whether an app, connector, data source, or automation is safe and appropriate to use
- How the product supports confidence without adding excessive friction to fast-moving recruiting work
- How success could be evaluated through adoption, reduced errors, improved compliance confidence, or better recruiter productivity
Your goal is to define a clear user problem, identify the most important trust gap in the recruiting workflow, and describe a product experience within Power Platform that improves recruiter confidence while respecting Microsoft’s enterprise trust, security, and productivity expectations.
