Apple Pay operates across a global ecosystem of iPhone, Apple Watch, Safari, apps, merchants, banks, card networks, payment processors, and developer integrations. In this interview, you are being asked to define the guardrail metrics Apple should track to ensure Apple Pay can scale safely without degrading trust, privacy, reliability, transaction success, merchant adoption, or the premium user experience.

Focus on the developer and merchant integration context as well as the end-user payment experience. Developers rely on Apple Pay APIs, SDKs, web integrations, entitlement flows, sandbox testing, and production transaction behavior. Be explicit about how metrics should be defined, what the denominator is, how they would be instrumented, and how Apple should interpret them across countries, devices, merchants, payment networks, and developer cohorts.

The experience should consider:
