Problem Statement Description
Product context: Tesla is an electric vehicle, energy, and software company; its products include EVs, charging, vehicle software, Autopilot/FSD features, energy storage, and solar products.
Tesla EV buyers are not just purchasing a car; they are entering an energy ecosystem that spans home charging, public charging, solar, battery storage, electricity pricing, trip planning, vehicle software, and long-term ownership costs. Design a better Energy experience for EV buyers at global scale, with attention to how a buyer discovers, understands, configures, purchases, installs, and uses energy-related products and services before and after vehicle delivery.
Focus on the end-to-end workflow for a prospective or new Tesla buyer who wants confidence that owning an EV will be convenient, affordable, reliable, and sustainable across different geographies. The experience may involve Tesla vehicles, the Tesla app, home charging, Supercharging, utility plans, solar or storage options, financing, installation coordination, service, and education. Consider that users vary widely by housing type, income, grid reliability, climate, local incentives, charging access, and familiarity with EV ownership.
