Microsoft Copilot is increasingly used across enterprise workflows, including environments where security teams must detect, investigate, prioritize, and respond to threats across cloud infrastructure, endpoints, identity systems, collaboration tools, and developer environments. In this question, you are asked to design a new Copilot feature that helps security teams achieve better outcomes, not just work faster.

Focus on the daily workflow of security analysts, incident responders, SOC managers, and security engineers who deal with high alert volume, fragmented tools, unclear incident context, compliance pressure, and the need to make accurate decisions under time constraints. The feature should fit into Microsoft’s broader enterprise and security ecosystem while respecting trust, privacy, reliability, and governance expectations.

You should define the user problem clearly, identify which security outcomes matter, and design an experience that Copilot can realistically support through AI assistance, workflow integration, and human-in-the-loop decision-making. The scope may include investigation, triage, response coordination, knowledge retrieval, reporting, prevention, or another high-impact security workflow.

The experience should consider:

- Which security team persona is the primary user and what workflow moment the feature targets

- What pain points exist today across alert triage, investigation, collaboration, remediation, or reporting

- How Copilot should gather, summarize, reason over, or act on security context without creating unsafe automation

- How the feature handles confidence, explainability, source traceability, and analyst review

- How it integrates with enterprise systems such as identity, endpoint, cloud, ticketing, communication, and compliance tools

- What safeguards are needed for sensitive data, access control, auditability, and regulatory requirements

- How success would be measured in terms of security outcomes, analyst productivity, quality, and trust

- How the experience should account for different maturity levels across small security teams and large enterprise SOCs
