Product manager job-market statistics: listings and hiring
Is the PM job market growing? The answer depends on the month, region, seniority and what was counted. Here are two published snapshots that answer different parts of the question. Neither describes today’s vacancies in real time.

A February listing snapshot
James Gunaca’s independent report tracks advertised PM positions using LinkedIn listings. The changes below compare his February snapshot with the previous month. Attribute them to the author’s analysis rather than calling them an official LinkedIn market report.
Why a hiring measure can point another way
The UK government brief examines entry-level hiring activity in April. A stock of open advertisements and a rate of people starting jobs can move differently. The period and seniority also differ. These sources should remain separate evidence, rather than be averaged into one market-growth figure.
Make your search match your experience
Build a shortlist for your own geography and level. Record the date, required experience, domain knowledge and recurring interview skills. Remove duplicate advertisements from your own shortlist. A rise in senior vacancies does not tell you how many suitable associate openings you can realistically pursue.
Turn a trend into preparation
Compare the work expected in a vacancy with examples you can defend. For an execution role, practise a launch decision; for an analytical role, rehearse diagnosing a metric drop. Keep a short application log so you can distinguish a weak market fit from an answer that needs more work. Practice helps you prepare; these figures do not predict your interview outcome.
